We're big fans of fast cars and vans. Fast vans, though rare, are even better. Fast vans with Porsche 911 powertrains and center-seat setups are hilarious and amazing.

Or, at least, this one is. We're not sure that another similar van exists, since this thing is such a strange concept. Someone decided to drop the 3.6-liter, turbocharged flat-six engine from the 997 Porsche 911 into this Volkswagen T5 Kombi van. Not only that, but the powertrain has been tuned to make 638 horsepower.

But, for some reason, the owner didn't think a 638-hp van was unique enough. That's why this T5 also offers a center-mounted driver's seat and controls. The gauge cluster also appears to be lifted from a Porsche, as is the Porsche RS Green paint.

All of that doesn't come cheap. The dealership selling the T5 in Germany is asking for €155,000, or $170,580.60 at current exchange rates. A brand new 911 Turbo, we should note, starts at $161,800 in the U.S.

But anyone can rock a 911 Turbo. It takes a someone bold to roll up in a 911-powered T5 in RS green. Plus, the current 911 Turbo is PDK only. This swapped T5 has a six-speed manual, so you can row your own gears while sitting in the middle of your 638-hp van. That's not a driving experience that you can get elsewhere.
