MISSOULA, Mont. — An emergency communications event will simulate an active shooter situation in Kalispell Friday.
Kalispell Regional Medical Center and North Valley Hospital will be participating along with the Whitefish Fire Department, Flathead County Office of Emergency Services, Montana Department of Disaster and Emergency Services, and the Western Region Healthcare Coalition.
The exercise is meant to help hospital staff evaluate their preparedness to respond to a similar event.
All local first responders have been informed of the exercise.
The exercise will begin at 10:45 a.m. on Friday and will wrap up by noon.
