          NFL players sport their finest pregame looks as Week 3 slate unfolds

          The third NFL Sunday of 2021 has arrived with plenty of big names in action. Last week, fans were delighted by a slate of close finishes, capped off by a Sunday Night Football classic, as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 36-35.

          Both Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes were among the players sporting their best pregame looks ahead of awing NFL fans on the ground and through the air. With 14 games scheduled to keep everyone on their toes, here is a look into how squads are boosting their confidence via their fashion looks.

          Baltimore Ravens

          WR Marquise Brown, RB Devonta Freeman, QB Lamar Jackson, WR Sammy Watkins, CB Marlon Humphrey

          Baltimore enters its matchup against the Detroit Lions having rushed for at least 100 yards in 41 straight games. That trails only the 1974 to '77 Pittsburgh Steelers (43) for the second-longest such streak in NFL history.

          Jackson enters Week 3 with another opportunity for history. His 11 career 100-yard rushing games (including playoffs) are tied with Michael Vick for the most by any QB in league history.

          Baltimore is 4-1 all time against Detroit, which is hoping to avoid its first 0-3 start since 2015, when the Lions finished 7-9.

          No wonder the Ravens look so dapper and confident entering Week 3.

          Arizona Cardinals

          DE J.J. Watt, QB Kyler Murray

          The Cardinals visit the Jacksonville Jaguars looking for their first 3-0 start since going 13-13 in 2015. That season also marks the last time the Cardinals made the playoffs.

          Five-time All-Pro J.J. Watt, who is enjoying his first season out in The Valley, appears ready to foster more playoff energy with his nod to Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi. The Mercury visit the defending champion Seattle Storm in the second round of the WNBA playoffs at 3 p.m. ET (ABC).

          Murray also appeared properly dressed for the coastal weather of Jacksonville, Florida.

          Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs

          QB Justin Herbert, QB Patrick Mahomes

          Just over a year ago, Mahomes purchased a stake in the ownership of the Kansas City Royals, so the 2018 MVP has grown quite fond of donning his other squad's unique hue of blue. He enters this divisional matchup with a career record of 16-2 and Total QBR of 78.8 against the AFC West. The latter mark is the best of any player since the metric was first tracked in 2006.

          Herbert enters his 18th career game dressed in a casual pullover and with 5,011 career passing yards.

          Can you guess the only quarterback with more through 17 career starts?

          That's right -- Mahomes (5,381).

          The Chargers will need every yard and touchdown Herbert's arm can muster against the defending AFC champions. Since Mahomes became the team's starter in 2018, Kansas City is an NFL-best 11-1 in September games.

          Pittsburgh Steelers

          DE Cameron Heyward

          The four-time Pro Bowler honored his late father Craig 'Ironhead' Heyward, who played for the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams and Indianapolis Colts over his 11-year career.

          The younger Heyward donned his pops' number 34 jersey from his time as a Ram in 1997.

          Atlanta Falcons

          TE Kyle Pitts, QB Matt Ryan

          The Falcons' prized rookie has nine receptions for 104 yards through two career games. While Atlanta has struggled with an 0-2 record and -80 point differential, Pitts could be in for a big day against the New York Giants, who are also winless entering Week 3.

          In fact, Pitts, who is still seeking his first NFL touchdown reception, could be dressed as the Lucky Falcon to catch the 350th touchdown pass of Matt Ryan's career.

          The 2016 MVP would become only the 10th QB in league history to reach the mark.

          Detroit Lions

          Hall of Fame WR Calvin Johnson, RB D'Andre Swift

          A little jewelry can only boost one's confidence. The Pro Football Hall of Fame will honor WR Calvin Johnson at halftime of Detroit hosting Baltimore. Johnson holds 11 franchise records for the Lions, including receptions (731), receiving yards (11,619) and touchdown catches (83).

          In 2012, he set the NFL single-season record for receiving yards with 1,964. The three-time First-Team All-Pro was selected to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2010s. Johnson reflected on the honor being acknowledged by the only NFL team he ever played for.

          "I cannot wait to be back in the city of Detroit, and most importantly with the fans again at Ford Field," he said. " While this is a great personal honor, I not only share it with my loved ones, but all of the people who helped me get here and cheered for me along the way."

          Swift was quite ready to show off his own flash prior to the Lions taking on the Ravens.

          Washington Football Team

          DE Chase Young, QB Taylor Heinicke

          Washington enters its visit against the Buffalo Bills seeking a 2-1 start. Young, who didn't record a sack in Washington's first two games of 2021, flexed into Highmark Stadium with quite the patterned shirt ahead of taking the field.

          Despite his team's slow defensive start, Young's pre-game huddle breakdown illustrates his readiness for Washington to improve its look on and off the field.

          A little extra money is often a sound vessel to improving your look and boosting confidence. Heinicke, who recently became an official sponsor of Bud Light beer, appeared business as usual heading into his third career regular-season start.

          He has three touchdown passes and one interception while completing 74 percent of his passes this season.

          Cleveland Browns

          WR Odell Beckham Jr.

          The three-time Pro Bowler made his first appearance on the field since tearing his ACL against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. Beckham Jr.'s three touchdown receptions last season tied a career-low.

          Judging by the energy of his pre-game threads, it's quite clear he's ready to return to peak form.

          Los Angeles Rams

          CB Jalen Ramsey

          Ramsey is never shy whether he is on or off the field. Few would be surprised that the two-time All-Pro selection brought his best Sunday threads with the ride to match for any game.

          It's only right for Ramsey to find new ways to step up his game when Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town.

          Miami Dolphins

          DL Christian Wilkins, LB Jerome Baker Jr. LB Elandon Roberts,

          The Dolphins received some tough news with the injury of starting QB Tua Tagovailoa (broken ribs), but they entered their Week 3 visit against the Las Vegas Raiders ready to handle business. Roberts took a comfortable stroll along the sidelines before he and the squad prepared for the action. Miami even put together a hype video of the team's West Coast travels ahead of its bid for a 2-1 start.

          Seattle Seahawks

          S Jamal Adams, WR Tyler Lockett, WR DK Metcalf

          Seattle endured a tough home loss against the Tennessee Titans last week, but a fresh week is an opportunity for new strides. The team will visit the Minnesota Vikings hoping to avoid falling under .500 early in the season.

          Three of the Seahawks' first four games of 2021 will be on the road, so it's all the more important for everyone to feel and look their best when away from Lumen Field.
