With over 8,000 living animals representing habitats from the Oregon shores to the exotic Indonesian Islands, the San Antonio Aquarium offers folks a whimsical experience of what happens beneath the surface of the water. Parents will appreciate the opportunity to instill a level of respect for our planet's rich aquatic resources. The San Antonio Aquarium has an array (including stingray) exhibits to wow the most reserved visitor. Exhibits include the following:
Sharks, Stingrays
Corals, and other invertebrates
Lorikeets, Toucans and Macaws
Tropical fish, and cold water fish including dozens of species of rockfish and flatfish
Rain Forest Area, including exotic reptiles and amphibians
Giant Pacific Octopus

Whether you believe in mermaids or not, at The San Antonio Aquarium families can enjoy a rare glimpse of these mythical creatures. Mermaids are on display every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm, and don't even mind taking a selfie - just beware of photo bombs from neighboring clown fish! Mermaids are also available to make appearances at on-site birthday parties. Guests can watch jellyfish gently float and glow and admire the bright and colorful corals. Additionally, The Aquarium offers multiple educational programs and events for kids, as well as behind the scenes tours for those curious about just what it takes to keep an aquarium operational.
