Vivo Y93 Announced with Waterdrop Notch & Dual Cameras

Vivo Y93 is a new midrange smartphone from Vivo that has been announced today with a water drop notch like the OnePlus 6T and also a big battery and dual camera setup on the rear. The device also becomes the first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 439 SoC and will be costing CNY 1,500 (approx Rs. 16,000, $215) for the Starry Black and Sunset Red color variants. Nothing much is mentioned about the global rollout and global pricing and expected to be announced soon.

Coming to the specs of the device, the Vivo Y93 will be featuring a big 6.2-inch LCD with HD+ resolution along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 439 SoC with eight Cortex-A53 cores with a clocking speed of 1.95GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. There is nothing mentioned about the microSD card slot, but the smartphone will be coming with an onboard memory of 64GB.

The Vivo Y92 smartphone supports a 21MP camera sensor but the company has chosen to equip the handset with one 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture size and a secondary 2MP camera on the rear. There is an 8 MP selfie camera with a f/2.4 aperture for video calling that also comes with Face Unlocking Sadly there isn’t a fingerprint sensor on the device, so the user needs to either use a screen lock or face unlock to keep their data secured.

Moreover, Vivo is also pushing its voice assistant Jovi on to this Y93 smartphone which is a part of the companies FunTouch OS based on the Android Oreo 8.1 operating system which can be getting further updates also. On the rear, there is a 4030 mAh battery and features a micro USB port along with the connectivity options like Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi and dual SIM cards. Well, are you planning to get this handset?
