Christopher Karon Turner, 44, was in custody Friday evening, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office announced in a post on the department’s Facebook page. Turner had been sought in connection with the death of clerk Anwar Ali and was considered armed and dangerous.

Tuesday evening, deputies took Joseph Gabriel Allen into custody at his Fort Worth home. He was booked into Tarrant County jail on a charge of capital murder, with bail set at $250,000.

The incident took place about 6:20 a.m. March 27 at the Super Big Country Mart in the 4500 block of East FM1187, just after Ali had opened the store. Deputies were dispatched to the scene about 7:15 a.m. after Ali was found shot to death.

Allen was initially identified as a person of interest after surveillance footage showed a man entering the store shortly before the robbery. A gunman wearing a surgical mask, believed to be Turner, entered the store soon afterward.

Both men fled in Ali’s Toyota Sienna minivan with an undisclosed amount of cash, headed south on Stephenson Levy Road toward Burleson, authorities said.
