Man accused of striking Indiana deputy's cruiser arrested in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - A police chase that began in Dearborn County and ended in Boone County ended with the arrest of a man accused of striking a deputy and a cruiser during a traffic stop.

Dearborn County deputies chased Jonathan Bingham, 35, into the Florence city limits. His car died at the dead end of Cayton Road.

Investigators say Bingham then ran off.

They founding him hiding in a field. He again tried to run, according to Boone County deputies but he was quickly arrested.

Bingham will face felony charges for the event sin Indiana. He also has felony warrants for a probation violation and possession of narcotic equipment.

In Boone County, Bingham has been charged with fleeing and evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license.

He will be extradited to Indiana.
