Deputies Arrest Assault Suspects

• At 11:17 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to Silverbrook Road, Randle and arrested Marcial Melendez Jr., 37, of Randle on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief and obstructing.

• At 1:08 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 3100 block of Ives Road, Centralia and arrested Mayra Cabrera, 35, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Utility Trailer Swiped from Parking Lot

• At 9:29 a.m. Friday, a small, red utility trailer was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

 

Police Book Trespass Suspect

• At 3:31 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 600 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Janie S. Weibling, 56, a transient, on suspicion of second-degree trespassing.

 

Officers Arrest Theft Suspects

• At 7:18 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 600 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Jennifer L. German, 35, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft.

• At 5:33 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1300 block of Lum Road and arrested Amy J. Cassidy, 41, of Lacy on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Vehicles Stolen

• At 8:35 a.m. Friday, a theft of a 1992 Dodge Dakota was reported in the 700 block of Euclid Way.

• At 12:59 p.m. Saturday, a theft of a white 2003 Lincoln Town Car was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street.

• At 11:30 a.m. Sunday, a theft of a black 1997 Nissan pickup truck was reported in the 1100 block of Brotherson Road.

 

Hit and Run Suspect Strikes Fence, Flees

• At 2:58 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue where a black Chevy crew-cab truck lost control, struck a fence and then fled the scene.

 

Police Book DUI Suspects

• At 8:02 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1600 block of Windsor Avenue and arrested Henry Herrera-Montealegre, 32, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence and on a suspended license.

• At 9:37 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 500 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Gabriel R. Bonilla, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Assault Suspect Arrested, Released

• At 10:14 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1500 block of Crescent Avenue and arrested and released Hellene A. Senitt, 64, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Teens Egg Cars

• At 11:52 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 300 block of West Third Street reported a car filled with teenagers who were egging parked cars.

 

Police Arrest Identity Theft Suspect

• At 2:13 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Winterwood Drive and arrested Kiya A. Kenney, 29, a transient, on suspicion of identity theft.

 

Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 3:20 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of F Street. Several power tools were stolen.

Vehicle Prowls

• At 7:36 a.m. Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Ninth Street.

• At 7:38 a.m. Friday a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue.

 

People Living in Car Continually Expose Themselves

• At 10:07 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 100 block of Southwest 12th Street said people were living in a car behind a business. The caller also said they keep exposing themselves to people.

Teen Booked on Assault Charge

• At 1:03 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street and arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of custodial assault.

 

Hit and Run Reported

• At 1:41 p.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 300 block of West Main Street.

 

Caller Locks Strange Dog in Bedroom

• At 7:30 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 400 block of Southwest 16th Street where a caller had a dog locked in a bedroom. The dog showed up to the residence and began attacking a cat, the caller said.

 

Store Reports Man Yelling at Customers, Self

• At 9:31 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue, where a man was reportedly yelling at nobody in particular, and at customers. The staff said the man trespassed.

 

Teen Booked on Mischief Charge

• At 11:46 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to the 500 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place and arrested a male teen on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief.

 

Police Arrest Theft Suspect

• At 4:06 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Matthew T. Gorman, 32, of Mossyrock on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 6:07 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue and arrested Fredy D. Torres, 21, of Chehalis on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Male and Female Fight, Spit in Each Others’ Faces

• At 7:54 p.m. Sunday, a caller in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue said a male and a female were in a loud argument, and began spitting on one another.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 246 inmates, with 210 in general population, 33 in the work ethic and restitution center and three on work release. Of general population inmates, 169 were male and 41 were female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and five were female. A total of 39 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
