Michigan reports 571 new coronavirus cases, 11 deaths Tuesday

The Michigan health department has reported an additional 571 coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the state total to 113,183 confirmed cases.

The state's death toll has also increased, with another 11 COVID-19 deaths confirmed since Monday. This brings the state to 6,612 deaths since the first death was reported in mid-March.

Of the deaths reported Tuesday, five have been identified as part of the health department's review of previous death records.

The state has also reported 11,786 probable cases and 320 probable deaths, for a total of 124,969 cases and 6,932 deaths.

Of 25,415 diagnostic tests reported Monday, 917 yielded positive results — 3.6% of total tests reported.
