Ireland will face India in their World Cup quarter-finals this Thursday, following India's win over Italy.

The meeting will be a rematch of their Pool B clash earlier in the tournament in London, which resulted in a 1-0 victory for Graham Shaw's side.

India overcame Italy 3-0 to send them through to the quarter-finals, while Ireland had already booked their place in the knockout stages as winners of Pool B following wins over America and India.

They lost their last group game to World Number 2 side England last weekend, but they have impressed at the tournament so far and will be eager to secure a place in the semi-finals of their first World Cup in 16 years.

RTÉ 2 will broadcast the Thursday clash, which pushes back at 6pm, with England the hosts getting the primetime 8.15pm slot for their quarter-final clash with the Netherlands.

Peter Collins is joined by Kate Dillon and Lisa Jacob in studio, with commentary from Ger Canning and Sarah Scott.
