IPL 2019: Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League. Once the schedule was out and the MI’s came to know that their CSK fixture is on 3rd April at home, they posted it on their social media page and it read, “This IPL rivalry has a different fan base’. CSK was quick to respond to that and it seemed they were cheeky in their response as they said, “Can’t agree more! And it’s mostly #Yellove! 💛😉#WhistlePodu”

The defending champions seem to be quite in the mood as the franchise also got engaged in a lovable banter with RCB earlier.

With sambhar being a popular dish in the southern part of India, RCB took to Twitter and posted a question which read, “A spicy south Indian Derby for starters – but we prefer the sweet sambar…”. CSK was quick to take to Twitter and respond to their arch-rivals. “But sambar is always #Yellove in colour no?” they wrote.

Meanwhile, according to the schedule announced by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) and BCCI, as many as 17 matches will be played from March 23 to April 5, with three double-header days on March 24, 30 and 31.

The IPL schedule was only limited to the first two weeks of the tournament since the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have not been announced. As the details of the Lok Sabha elections still awaited, BCCI stated that once the polling dates are decided it would “address any issues with the first two weeks and will also prepare a schedule for the remainder of the season working with the local authorities around the polling dates.”

“IPL released the schedule of the first two weeks (17 matches) of the 2019 Season. These are still subject to the announcement of the Lok Sabha 2019 election dates. Once these have been released BCCI will address any issues with the first two weeks and will also prepare a schedule for the remainder of the season working with the local authorities around the polling dates,” an IPL media release read on Tuesday.
