A home security camera caught a thief in the act of stealing packages in Osceola County last week — and also recorded his change of heart days later, authorities said.

The Sheriff’s Office issued a bulletin Tuesday seeking to identify the young man who had nabbed packages soon after they were delivered to the front door of a Lilly Belle Drive home Aug. 8.

The alert included footage of the theft from the victim’s Ring security camera — which was later publicized by local news outlets.

On Wednesday, deputies said, the thief was spotted by the camera again — this time, returning what he had stolen. The footage shows him toting the items back to the front door in a paper bag.

Authorities are still working to identify the suspect.
