Author Discusses New Mystery, ‘Deep Green Envy’

Novel Bay Booksellers’ favorite cozy-mystery writer, Joy Ann Ribar, will celebrate the launch of the fourth book in the Deep Lakes Mystery series, Deep Green Envy, with a talk and signing Oct. 2, 1-3 pm, at the store, 44 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. Because the series features Frankie Champagne, the event will include a wine raffle, whose winner will be announced and contacted at the end of the day.

In the series, Frankie Champagne is a baker, vintner and Bubble & Bake shop co-owner with her business partner and best friend, Carmen Martinez. Frankie also has a side line as a sleuthing reporter for Point Press, which gives her the chance to stick her nose into crimes in the small tourist town of Deep Lakes, Wisconsin. Her investigations curl the toes of lifelong pal Sheriff Alonzo Goodman, especially because she enlists the help of the coroner (and her romantic partner), Garrett Iverson.

Ribar lives in central Wisconsin and celebrates Wisconsin’s seasons and local flavors in her work.
