ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Fire Department is reminding residents to stay alert during winter weather conditions. BCFD has responded to four structure fires and more than a dozen crashes in the east mountains over the past month.
Many of them were blamed on winter conditions and three of the fire were cause by fireplace issues. The department says several of these incidents could have been avoided if proper safety measures were in place.
