Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Available In Glen Burnie

There's no need for an appointment or a doctor's order at Glen Burnie VEIP Wednesdays and Fridays starting July 1 from 8 a.m. to noon.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — The Glen Burnie Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) coronavirus testing site will be offering drive-thru testing without the need for an appointment or a doctor’s order. Appointment-free testing at Glen Burnie VEIP begins July 1 from 8 a.m. to noon.

In order to get a test, patients need to arrive during operating hours with a valid form of identification. Patients are not required to have a doctor’s order to get a test at the Glen Burnie site, making it accessible to those who are uninsured or do not have a physician.

Patients receiving a test at Glen Burnie VEIP will be able to get their results via phone call, text message or a dedicated laboratory patient portal. Instructions for retrieving results will be provided to patients on site and results are generally available within two to five days.

The Glen Burnie VEIP site will be open for appointment-free testing on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. until further notice. It will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day. Expanded scheduling options at further sites will be announced in the future.
