Eye-Tracking Game ‘Before Your Eyes’ Joins Netflix’s Mobile Roster

Netflix has continued to build its lineup of mobile in-app games. Last month, the streamer launched its own version of strategy title Into the Breach, adding to a list that already includes Trivia Crack, This Is A True Story, Shatter Remaster and more.

Before Your Eyes was developed by GoodbyeWorld Games and debuted in April of last year. The game follows a man, Benjamin Brynn, who recently passed away. Brynn is tasked with recounting his life to a ferryman but has lost his ability to speak.

Utilizing the mobile device’s camera, the game is played via eye-tracking technology. Scenes from Brynn’s life are played for the user, propelled by the act of blinking. Part of the game’s challenge lies in that blinking can also be an involuntary action.

From a first-person perspective, “players find themselves in the company of The Ferryman, tasked with locating souls who have lived extraordinary lives and transporting them to the afterlife,” per the game’s description.

Netflix subscribers can play Before Your Eyes on the streamer’s app now.

In other gaming news, John Cena is coming to Fortnite.
