CLEVELAND, Ohio – Akronym Brewing is getting set to mark a year in business with releases, Platform Beer Co. is releasing a unique slushee-style ale, Chez Francois will feature Saucy Brew Works at a beer dinner, and many other events are slated in Northeast Ohio. Monday, June 17: Yard House has introduced 25-plus beers at all of its locations as part of the company's Summer Beer Fest. The restaurant also offers $5 build-your-own-four-packs, which allows customers a chance to create their own beer flight until 9 p.m. on Mondays through July 8. Thursday, June 20: Granite City Food & Brewery will tap its summer Session IPA – Mix Tape Vol. 1, brewed in collaboration with Two Brothers Brewing from Chicago. Thursday, June 20: Rozi's Wine House will hold a tapping of Fat Head's Brewery's Strange Magic IPA 5-8 p.m. Buy a beer, keep the glass. A raffle will support Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center. It's at 14900 Detroit Ave., Lakewood.

Friday, June 21: Akronym Brewing Co. is marking its one-year anniversary. The brewery will release Awkward Handshakes, a double New England-style IPA collaboration with Missing Mountain Brewing Co. of Cuyahoga Falls, and Heavy Rubber, a scotch ale aged in bourbon barrels. It's at 58 E. Market St., Akron.

Friday, June 21: The Duck Island Club will hold Duck Duck Goose Island Night 5-9 p.m. The event will introduce new Goose Island Beer Co. offerings. Brewery reps are scheduled to attend. Sample five beers, including Gillian. It's at 2102 Freeman Ave., Cleveland.

Saturday, June 29: The third annual Masthead 5K and Brew Fest is scheduled.
