The  Arizona State Sun Devils continue to be active in the transfer market, landing the services of 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end Jalin Conyers from Oklahoma just days after he went into the NCAA's transfer portal.

Conyers was a four-star prospect out of Gruver, Texas which is located in the Texas Panhandle. He had 22 offers out of high school, one of those from Arizona State but his final three consisted of Oklahoma, Georgia an Ohio State. He committed to Oklahoma on July 12, 2019 and signed there that December.

The ASU football team will wear a special throwback uniform against UCLA this season.

He did not play at Oklahoma this season so he will have four years of eligibility at ASU, in which he plans to enroll in the coming week.

Coming out of high school Conyers was pegged as the No. 71 overall recruit by 247Sports. At tight end ESPN had him as the No 2 recruit in the country while 247Sports had him No. 4 with Rivals having him at No. 8.

He's a versatile athlete whose prep career started out as a quarterback and then morphed into double duty as a wide receiver and defensive back with him playing at small school in which a lot of athletes played on both sides of the ball.

The Sun Devils are in the market to add depth at the position with Zak Hill's new offense utilizing that position, which had not been a point of emphasis previously. They had one high school recruit as a tight end in the 2020 class, that being Jake Ray out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Sun Devils also had two graduate transfers at that position in Kyle Horn (UMass) and John Stivers (Harvard) although both of those are walk-ons.

Conyers is the third transfer to commit to ASU, the first being defensive end Travez Moore out of LSU and the second being freshman offensive tackle Triston Miller from North Carolina.
