Jacques Doucet

Jacques Doucet reached the 20-year milestone for WAFB-TV sports in March of 2021, covering the most glorious two decades in Louisiana sports history here in Baton Rouge. Jacques has covered Super Bowls, College Football national championship games, NCAA Final Fours, College World Series, Joe Burrow's Heisman Trophy win in New York City, and much, much more.

During the spring and summer months of 2023 Jacques extensively covered both the LSU women's basketball national championship team and then the LSU baseball national title squad as well.

Jacques has also become an extremely strong force on social media, approaching 80,000 Twitter and over 60,000 Facebook followers as of October 2023.

Along with his work at WAFB, Jacques founded a nonprofit 501-C charity called Red Rock & Blue. The organization has held major charity fundraisers each summer to benefit Louisiana military, consisting of events like "The Celebrity/Sorta Celebrity Softball Game" "The Red, Rock and Blue Charity Concert", "The Doucet/Begnaud Softball/Kick Ball Invitational" and more.

RRB gives primarily to local military charity organizations to benefit those who serve and their families. Such organizations are The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana, Wounded War Heroes, and Support Our War Heroes. RRB has donated a total of over $400,0000 to charity during the last eight years alone (2016-2023).

Typically 80-100 teams participate in the RRB softball tournament each year, with multi-platinum bands like Sugar Ray, Everclear, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, Eve 6, LIT, Soul Asylum, and Sponge playing concert events in years past.
