The National Team will undergo a friendly match for SAFF Championship 2013 preparation against Bahrain U23.

Hosting the tournament at home, Nepal National Team has lots of expectations in SAFF Championship 2013. With great home support, Nepal look to end up trophy drought that has been hard to break for long time. Preparing for the championship, National team will be playing couple of friendly matches in Bahrain and Kuwait. National team that left for Bahrain will camp 10 days in the capital city and will play first friendly match against U23 national team in 7th august.

The friendly match will also be beneficial for the hosts as they prepare to compete in U-23 gulf cup which they will host starting August 15. Bahrain U23 team will be in good shape after they recently finished up closed camp in Turkey and their recent win against Turkish side Bingol. Abbass Al Sari and Kumail Al Aswad got in the scorecard recently for the team in 2-1 win over Turkish side.

Nepal National Team in the other hand has been hungry for victory after failing to qualify for AFC Chalenge cup final, playing the qualifiers at home. The match will bring hope to Jack Stefanowski and Richard Orlowski, coaches duo as they are yet to win any competitive match since they were handed over Nepal National team back in January.
