Nothing stings like the broken trust that comes with cheating. When your partner has turned to someone else while they're still with you, the pain and trauma from this unimaginable action tend to linger. Or, you might be on the other side of the affair — in which case, you probably feel like you'll never be able to have the full connection with this person whether you were aware of it or not. Being betrayed in these types of relationships isn't something that can be healed overnight, and that's okay.

In addition to confiding in trusted friends and family members (and ofc, breaking out the tissues and crying as much as you want), listening to music is another way to help channel your feelings. Whether you want to become one with your sadness or give off major "F you" energy by screaming at the top of your lungs, these songs about cheating can work wonders to help soothe the wounds of your broken heart.

Some of our fave singers like The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Rihanna have penned tracks about the vulnerability of cheating with bangers and ballads. There are also classics from Jazmine Sullivan and Carrie Underwood that give you a chance to get all your frustrations out. Or, tracks like Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good" and Lana Del Rey's "The Other Woman" share insight from the POV of people who are actually cheating.

Ahead, find 50 songs about cheating that will help you get through the toughest emotions and betrayals with the magic of music.

Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats"

"I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights / Slashed a hole in all 4 tires / Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats"

Quite possibly the official anthem for anyone with an unfaithful partner, "Before He Cheats," is actually not written about anyone in particular since Carrie didn't write the song. It was given to Carrie for her debut album, though Carrie has admitted she has been cheated on in the past.

Miley Cyrus - "Muddy Feet"

"You smell like perfume that I didn't purchase / Now I know why you've been closing the curtains, ah / Get the f**k out of my house. /You're coming 'round with your muddy feet. /I'm about to do something about it / Yeah, I'ma have to do something 'bout it"

Miley held nothing back on this track off her latest album, Endless Summer Vacation.

Amy Winehouse - "You Know I'm No Good"

"I cheated myself / Like I knew I would / I told you I was trouble / You know that I'm no good"

Amy Winehouse undergoes a fierce interrogation after being caught cheating. Despite all the evidence of her crimes, Amy uses a fair warning she previously gave her lover as the only defense.

Sabrina Carpenter - "Emails I Can't Send"

"When I’m 45, someone calls me their wife and he f**ks our lives / In one selfish night / Don’t think I’ll / Find forgiveness / As fast as mom did"

On the opening track of Sabrina's album, Emails I Can't Send, she sings a heartbreaking ballad begging a parental figure to fix their family after being accused of cheating.

Taylor Swift - "Illicit Affairs"

"And you wanna scream / Don't call me 'kid' / Don't call me 'baby' / Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me / You showed me colors / You know I can't see with anyone else"

This track off Taylor's Grammy-winning album, Folklore, paints the scene from the perspective of the lovesick person the subject is cheating on their partner with.

Whitney Houston - "It's Not Right but It's Okay"

"Friday night you and your boys went out to eat / Then they hung out, but you came home around three / If six of y'all went out / Then four of you were really cheap / 'Cause only two of you had dinner / I found your credit card receipt"

Whitney talks about all the telltale signs of being cheated on. Her beau is coming home late, she's finding literal receipts, but she's not stressed. She wants him to leave and not come back, and she tells him so. "I'd rather be alone than unhappy," she sings.

Robyn - "Call Your Girlfriend"

"Call your girlfriend / It's time you had the talk / Give your reasons / Say it's not her fault / But you just met somebody new"

In "Call Your Girlfriend," we get the perspective of the mistress in, Robyn, who wants her new love to cut all ties with their girlfriend. When asked by Clevver where Robyn got the inspiration for the song, she simply said, "Love and life." Fair enough!

Destiny's Child - "Say My Name"

"Could it be that you / Are at the crib with another lady / If you took it there / First of all, let me say / I am not the one / To sit around, and be played / So prove yourself to me / I am the girl that you claim"

A classic song about a possible cheating boyfriend who won't say Beyoncé's name on the phone because he's with another girl. Seriously though, WHO would cheat on Beyoncé?

Rihanna - "Unfaithful"

"And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful / And it kills him inside / To know that I am happy with some other guy / I can see him dying"

While this song comes from the perspective of the cheater, rather than the cheated, the song was written for Rihanna by Ne-Yo so it doesn't come from the singer's experiences.

Ashe - "Moral of the Story"

"Talking with my lawyer / She said, 'Where'd you find this guy?' / I said, young people fall in love / With the wrong people sometimes"

Ashe reminds us that sometimes the person you are with isn't *the* one and that's perfectly alright — better learn from it instead of dwelling on what could've been.

Jazmine Sullivan - "Bust Your Windows"

"I bust the windows out your car / After I saw you laying next to her / I didn't wanna, but I took my turn / I'm glad I did it cause you had to learn"
