Brown’s retirement is to be effective on Jan. 31.
She was hired in 1996 as income tax administrator and was appointed finance director in 1998.

“Ms. Brown has faithfully served the city for 22 years and will be missed. She has done a wonderful job guiding the city through a major growth period in our history and has enabled the city to be in the strong financial position we stand today. We wish her well in her future endeavors,” Springboro City Manager Chris Pozzuto said in a press release.
Hudson will begin in Springboro on Jan. 2, according to the release.
He is to be paid $100,000 a year, $17,000 less than Brown, according to Pozzuto.
Hudson’s annual salary was $109,937, according to a statement from Centerville.
Hudson has served as Centerville’s finance director for three years and assistant finance director for four years. His current salary was not immediately available from Centerville.

He also served as an auditor with the State Of Ohio from 2008-2012.

Hudson specializes in city finance, information technology, risk management, tax-incremental finance district creation and administration, bond issuance and income tax, according to the release.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a master’s degree in business administration from Wright State University.
“We are very excited to have Mr. Hudson join our team here in the city of Springboro,” Pozzuto said in the release. “We feel he will be a great fit and can hit the ground running with his extensive knowledge base, and his experience working in a community that is very similar to Springboro is a great asset as well.”
Hudson his wife and two children are Springboro residents.
“I have enjoyed working with Jonathan for approximately a year in his role as the City of Centerville’s finance director. Although disappointed to see Jonathan leave, we trust this is the right career decision for Jonathan and his family to be part of Springboro. We wish him all the best in his new endeavor,” Centerville City Manager Wayne Davis said.
