A man is facing charges after police in Cumberland County said children and animals were living in filthy conditions in a trailer.
Jordan Aiken, 32, of Mount Holly Springs, was arrested Wednesday.
Mount Holly Springs police said they were initially called for a domestic dispute. Aiken was intoxicated when he slashed the tires on his girlfriend's car and threatened to burn the trailer with children inside, police said.
When officers went into the trailer, they found a "condition that was not habitable by anyone."
Police said there was garbage, bed bugs, fleas, roaches and small rodents. The home didn't have running water and was filled with human and animal feces, according to police.
Police said the home was condemned by borough officials.
Aiken faces the following charges:
- One count of simple assault
- Five counts of terroristic threats
- One count of possessing an instrument of crime
- Two counts of criminal mischief
- Four counts of endangering welfare of children
- Five counts of recklessly endangering another person
- Five counts of harassment
- One count of public intoxication
- Six counts of animal cruelty
