Michigan reports 929 new coronavirus cases, 8 deaths Friday

An additional 929 coronavirus cases have been confirmed by the state health department Friday, bringing Michigan's total to 120,526.

Friday's report also includes eight new COVID-19 deaths. This brings the state's death toll to 6,708 since the first coronavirus-related death was reported by the state in March.

Michigan has a fatality rate of 5.6% among known cases.

Data from the health department also included 12,851 probable cases and 319 probable deaths, bringing the total cases to 133,377 and deaths to 7,027.
