SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA —A man suspected of stabbing his wife to death in San Juan Capistrano was charged in his wife's murder this week, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Sebastian Garcia Ramirez, 50, was arrested at the scene arraigned on Thursday with charges of fatally stabbing his wife. Bail was set at $1 million.

The Orange County Coroner stated that Lydia Garcia, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene, after being stabbed multiple times, authorities said.

Deputies were sent to the 26000 block of Cedar Grove Court about 10 p.m. Tuesday "after receiving multiple calls of a domestic disturbance," Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

Ramirez was "holding a knife with blood on it" and was taken into custody on site, Braun said. He was first taken to the hospital for an undisclosed medical issue.
