CT Coronavirus: Infection Rate Jumps, 20 More Deaths

Twenty more deaths were reported in the past day, bringing the state's coronavirus death toll to 5,040.

CONNECTICUT — The state's positive coronavirus test rate jumped to 5.88 percent Tuesday, up from Monday's 4.4 percent, the state Department of Public Health reported. From the 24,831 tests administered, 1,459 came back positive.

There are currently 1,152 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Connecticut, an increase of 54 beds.

Twenty more deaths were reported in the past day, bringing the state's death toll to 5,040 since the start of the pandemic.
