SAGINAW, MI — Saginaw’s Friday Night Live event series will return for the 2021 summer season.
The free summer concert series sponsored by Positive Results Downtown Saginaw (PRIDE) is scheduled to begin Friday, July 16, according to a recent announcement made via the Riverfront Saginaw Facebook page.
The theme for the first event, to take place at downtown Saginaw’s Morley Plaza, is “Rockin on the Riverfront.”
Friday Night Live joins a growing list of Saginaw area events that were canceled last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic but will return this year.
Other events on the list include the Freeland Walleye Festival, which took place in April, and the Saginaw County Fair, scheduled to take place Tuesday, Aug. 3, through Saturday, Aug. 7.
The free concerts are scheduled to take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Attendees should bring their own chairs or blankets.
Band lineups have yet to be determined, but here are the scheduled dates and themes:
- July 16, Rockin’ On the Riverfront
- July 23, Riverfront Music Fest
- July 30, Latin Fiesta
- Aug. 6, Downtown Hoedown
- Aug. 13, Michigan Made
- Aug. 20, Motown Music Fest
