PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday for a Phoenix man with a medical condition who had been missing for several hours.

Manuel Cajero Hernandez was located by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office near 211th Avenue and Jomax Road.

A passerby alerted officers to a man wandering in the area.

Hernandez was found unharmed but was transported to a nearby hospital to be evaluated.

The vehicle he had been driving was found near 220th Avenue and Patton Road.

Authorities said Hernandez, 72, went missing Monday at about 2 p.m. near 39th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Hernandez, 5 feet, 5 inches and 176 pounds, has brown eyes and graying hair. His right hand is missing some fingertips.

He was driving a black 2014 Chevy Silverado.

The Spanish-speaking Hernandez was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeve buttoned shirt, blue jeans, black boots and a blue ball cap.

His undisclosed medical condition sometimes causes him to be confused.

We want to hear from you.
