Real Madrid lost star guard Facu Campazzo to the NBA (the Denver Nuggets to be specific) and there is a reported possibility that this may also happen with another player of the team. According to Marca, Real Madrid forward Gabriel Deck will be using the exit clause on his contract with “Blancos” and sign with an NBA club even next week if his team doesn’t present him with an extension offer really soon. There are some NBA teams that have “shown an interest” for the Argentinian player and he’s ready to make the jump, unless something changes with his contract situation with Real.
Whenever opting free time into watching basketball games, Gabriel Deck will generally bring himself to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague over the NBA, he explained in an interview shared on the portal of CABB, the Argentinian Basketball Confederation. “I hardly ever watch basketball games,” he confessed, “This is rare for a player, but the truth is I really don’t watch games in their entirety. Maybe some very interesting matches, but watching games is not my priority.”
“More EuroLeague and sometimes the Argentinian league, but not too much,” he added referring to his preferences, “Actually, I rarely watch NBA games. It doesn’t appeal to me. I didn’t see the Los Angeles Lakers versus Miami Heat finals.”
Gabriel Deck has been recently reported to be on the radar of some NBA teams and while that stays a possibility, the 25-year-old forward has one more year on his contract with Real Madrid and he intends to give his best for teh ‘Whites’. “One dreams of reaching the top, but today I try to do my best for the club, we are in an impressive place like Madrid, which has been doing things well for a long time,” Deck said on UcU Web Radio and addressed the rumors of his move to the NBA.
Deck also sees the rumors as a good thing, showing that he has been doing things good enough: “It would be worse if they didn’t ask about my future. I’m doing things well and people can see a chance for the NBA. It’s good that they wonder.”
The talks between Real Madrid and forward Gabriel Deck regarding the latter’s contract extension are paused, according to Carlos Sanchez Blas. Deck is expecting his value to be raised soon when he acquires a Spanish passport and won’t occupy a foreign player’s sport on the team’s roster. Real Madrid signed Deck to a three-year deal in 2018 so the player will become a free agent the following offseason if he doesn’t extend his contract with the Spanish powerhouse. Deck has been reported to be on the radars of some NBA teams.
Another Real star on the radar of NBA teams is Deck. Concluding, Nocioni shared his view on the future of the 25-year-old Argentinian forward. “He is still making his case. He can make the jump, but currently seems more difficult,” he estimated, “I know that there is some NBA interest, but not as open as Campazzo.”
