Police: Man arrested in California in connection to Westwood homicide

A man was arrested in California Thursday evening in connection to a fatal shooting in Westwood earlier this month, according to a police report.

Mattheau Arnold, age unknown, was arrested on a murder warrant with the help of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, US Marshals Task Force and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

Ricky Jackson Jr. was the 24-year-old man shot and killed at around 11:20 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 on Westwood Northern Boulevard.

Arnold is in custody and pending extradition. The Cincinnati Police Department is still investigating the homicide.
