MEDINA, Ohio -- The Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland (JGSC) has announced that Medina resident Deborah A. Katz, JD, PhD, will serve as its new president. Katz previously held the position of first vice president of programming.

Katz grew up in Pepper Pike, the daughter of Gary I. and Nancy (Gilford) Katz, and graduated from Hawken
School in 1980. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her law degree, master’s degree and doctorate at The Ohio State University in Columbus, where she lived and worked for 30 years.
