Man sentenced for assault with dangerous weapon

A Bullhead man was sentenced to more than seven years in prison on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a news release from the U.S attorney's office.

Mario Crow Ghost, 49, was sentenced to 92 months followed by three years of supervised release on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to an intimate partner.

The conviction stemmed from an incident on June 3, 2019, when Crow Ghost had been drinking and assaulted two individuals with a sharp object, according to the release. The first victim was punctured in the neck, and the second victim received injuries to the back of her leg. Both victims received medical attention for their injuries.

Crow Ghostwas sentenced May 18 at the federal courthouse in Aberdeen. He was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
