Heat Shuts Down Norristown Coronavirus Testing Site Monday

With temperatures soaring into the upper 90s Monday and health warnings issued, several local coronavirus testing sites will be shut down.

NORRISTOWN, PA — With temperatures soaring into the upper 90s Monday and health warnings issued, several local coronavirus testing sites will be shut down.

That includes Montgomery County's community testing sites located in Lansdale, Norristown, Pottstown, and Willow Grove, the county announced on Sunday evening.

Testing will continue as usual at the Green Lane and Ardmore sites only, officials said.

As things stand, the remainder of the sites are slated to reopen on Tuesday.

Anyone visiting the test site Monday is asked to remain in their vehicle until notified by staff that it is allowed to proceed to the test window.

Montgomery County has seen 245 new coronavirus cases in the past week. The total number of cases since the pandemic began is 8,889, with 814 deaths recorded.
