UNDead in the Water: The nautical haunted attraction takes place in and on an actual warship. The floating haunt includes steep stairwells, narrow hallways and live actors. Creepatorium: The museum’s Odditorium Gallery turns into a Creepatorium for Halloween. A collection of creepy dolls has taken over. The dolls date from the early 1800s to the mid-1900s. Eerie Evening at the Tampa Bay Hotel: See the museum after dark and try to solve a murder mystery before the next victim falls. Period lighting and candles set the stage. Halloween Hunt: The family-friendly not-too-spooky scavenger hunt takes place along the Tampa Riverwalk. Individuals and teams solve riddles and puzzles and complete tasks as they explore the Riverwalk and compete to be the HalloWinner. Day of the Dead Community Ofrenda: Instead of its typical Dia de los Muertos festival, Casa Tina is inviting people to bring pictures of departed loved ones to put on the altar in Pioneer Park to mark what’s also known as Day of the Dead. Be sure pictures are laminated and weatherproof. There is also a separate memorial for those affected by COVID-19. Euclid/St. Paul’s Haunted Hike: Residents in the Euclid/St. Paul’s neighborhood decorate their homes as if it’s “The Last Halloween on Earth.” This year’s haunted hike is at your leisure through Halloween. Halloween on S Lime Ave.: Artists Dave Gordon and Elln Hagney transform the cul-de-sac in front of their home into a Halloween drive-through experience with 14 technology/art-based scenes. Images include swamp monsters engaged in an epic battle with pumpkin men and a ghoul’s garden with light-up skull flowers, oversized mushrooms and a creepy caterpillar smoking a hookah. Haunted Zombie Cruises: Tampa’s Pirate Ship, Lost Pearl, will turn into Haunted Zombie Cruises on select nights in partnership with the American Victory Ship’s UNDead in the Water haunted ship. Halloween in the Park: COVID-19 turns the usual trick-or-treat trail into a drive-through version with city staff and business representatives handing out candy at stations along the way. The route starts at 94th Avenue and moves through Helen Howarth Park, ending at Forbes Recreation Center. Limit one bucket of candy per child to the first 2,000 children.
