Groton ― Grasso Technical High School Bioscience and Environmental Technology department head Christopher McVeigh worked with a group of ninth grade students Monday at Eastern Point Beach in Groton.
The students are in the exploratory phase of their enrollment, spending two days in each of the 12 career and technical education shops, to decide on which path to follow.
After the two-day stage, each student will choose four of the shops to visit for a more extended experience before they make a final decision.
McVeigh led the seine net exercise to show the students the variety of marine life in the waters around the beach.
