If you missed any of the Battle of Chickamauga 159th anniversary events last week at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, don’t forget the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville has related information about the Civil War in Tennessee among its permanent exhibits. “Civil War and Reconstruction (1860-1870)” looks at major battles and personalities in the state, as well as the experiences of common soldiers and the role African Americans played in seeking freedom. Artifacts on display include Confederate Maj. Hugh Gwyn’s frock coat and a Union flag staff ornament. The museum, at 1000 Rosa Parks Blvd., is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sundays (all times are Central).
