American Red Cross to host local blood drives

CHILLICOTHE― Blood donors in the Ross County area are being asked to roil up their sleeves and donate blood or platelets this fall season. Especially with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month donors are needed to help ensure blood and platelets are on the shelves for cancer patients and others who rely on transfusions for care.

Donors who give in the month of October will receive a $5 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. These donors will also be entered to win two OSU vs Indiana football game tickets for the November 12 game.

Over the month of Oct. 10 blood drives will be held in Ross County. To schedule an appointment to give go to the red cross website and enter the sponsor code or call 1-800-733-2767.
