Santa Cruz firefighters were called to a home fire at 8:11 a.m. Friday on the 200 block of Otis Street. The blaze was confined to the home’s laundry room and kitchen and believed to have been caused by a dryer.
One resident was displaced due to the smell and electrical damage, but no one was injured, according to Santa Cruz Fire Battalion Chief Robert Davis. (Shmuel Thaler — Santa Cruz Sentinel)
