Woman found dead in Norwalk apartment

A woman was found dead in a Norwalk apartment early Thursday morning and a man was arrested on unrelated charges. 

At about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agents and Norwalk police officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing in the 600 block of Knoll Drive, according to a news release.  A woman was found dead in an apartment, according to the release. 

A man there was detained and arrested on unrelated charges, according to the release. 

"The death is being treated as suspicious at this time," the release said. 

There is no danger to the public, according to the release. No other information was immediately available, but more information will be released later Thursday,
