A line of showers and storms moving from the west to the east across New Hampshire led to multiple severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday evening.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect, at various times, for Cheshire, Hillsborough, Merrimack and Rockingham counties. The most-recent warning expired at 9:45 p.m.
The warned storms had histories of damaging winds, small hail and heavy downpours.
The last of the storms have cleared New Hampshire with some lingering showers the rest of the night in northern areas.
Clearing skies overnight in southern and central NH with lingering showers farther north.
Showers may linger Wednesday across the North Country, but otherwise, it will be bright and breezy as the air dries. Highs on Wednesday will be in the upper 60s up north to the upper 70s to 80 in southern spots.
It will feel very crisp and fall-like Wednesday night into Thursday and Friday. Highs then will only be in the 60s, and at night, readings will dip into the 30s up north and 40s in southern areas.
There is a chance of some frost Thursday into Friday morning from the White Mountains and North Country.
So far, the weekend looks nice with sunshine and temperatures back into the 70s.
