Plenty to do in Worcester this weekend.

It won't take more than a few pennies in the gas tank to find something to do this weekend.

A full lineup of events is taking place in Worcester.

The St. Spyridon Greek Festival gets underway at 5 p.m. Friday, with ethnic food, music and culture highlighted through Sunday evening.

On Saturday, music and food fans can check out the Beats and Barbecue hip-hop festival on Worcester Common. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Park Avenue is the place to be on Sunday, with the stART on the Street festival taking over the roadway from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event features 300 arts and crafts vendors.

The Brazilian Festival of Worcester will be held at Institute Park on Sunday. The cultural event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In East Brookfield, the town will be celebrating its 100th year, albeit a bit late. A parade is planned for 9:30 a.m. Saturday along Route 9. The town, the youngest in the state, reached the century mark in 2020, but the pandemic forced a postponement of the celebration.

For movie fans, the movie "Confess, Fletch," with several scenes filmed in Worcester, is showing at Blackstone Valley 14 Cinema de Lux in Millbury. Actor Jon Hamm recently told the Telegram & Gazette he enjoyed his time in Worcester.
