According to officials, surveillance video captured a black Infiniti sedan and a black Nissan Rogue arriving in the parking lot of Oscar’s Taco Shop around 3 p.m. and parking next to each other.

Officers say the video then shows a woman exiting the Rogue and entering the back seat of the Infiniti. Police say that’s when Poole and Arrington exited the Rogue and began shooting at the Infiniti.

The woman — later identified as 19-year-old Destinee Jnobaptiste — was killed during the gunfire and officers say the two occupants of the Infiniti, a 21-year-old and 19-year-old, were critically wounded.

The Rogue fled the scene after the shooting and later got wedged between two trucks at the intersection of Fesslers Lane and Lebanon Pike.

Officers say four people in the Rouge, including Poole and Arrington, fled the Nissan on foot but were apprehended a short time later and interviewed by investigators.

Another person in the Rogue, 19-year-old Jaylen Floyd, was charged with evidence tampering after he fled from the Rogue armed with a gun, which was later recovered.

Metro police say Poole has been the subject of previous police investigations. In 2018, he was charged with aggravated robbery after robbing a 76-year-old woman at gunpoint on Stilton Drive. In 2019, officers say Poole escaped from state custody by scaling a fence at a facility on Stewarts Ferry Pike.

According to Metro police, a total of eight guns were recovered during this investigation. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
