West Memphis community grieves medical assistant, mother killed in Memphis shooting spree

WEST MEMPHIS, Ar. (WMC) - Family and friends of Allison Parker filled West Memphis City Hall Friday evening in prayer after she was identified as a victim of a violent shooting rampage in Memphis.

The City of West Memphis held its monthly city prayer and encouraged community members to bring comfort to Parker’s family.

Parker was one of three killed in Wednesday’s shooting spree in Memphis.

She was 38 years old.

Memphis police say Parker was shot after the suspect fired at multiple vehicles on Poplar Avenue in Midtown Memphis.

Parker was with her daughter during the mayhem and was shot. She died from her injuries.

“Our crimes are their crimes and their crimes are definitely our crimes,” said West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon.

Parker worked as a medical assistant at Family Practice Center of West Memphis.

“That family needs your prayers,” said McClendon. “We must cover them and let anyone who’s looking to do harm to know when you hurt one of us, you hurt all of us.”

A close friend of Allison’s tells us she was selfless and loved by everyone who knew her.

Parker is survived by her fiancée and three children.

Parker’s friend and fiancée have created a food train for her family.

A GoFundMe has been created for her children. It has already raised over $20,000.

Trent’s office shared a Facebook post on Thursday about their loss.

The suspect, 19-year-old Ezekiel Kelly, is currently behind bars awaiting additional charges. So far, he has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
