I am beyond ticked off because my friend hired a prominent Winter Park estate sale company for a sale over six months ago and still hasn’t received a payment! Contract says ‘payment within 30 days’ and they are still in business.
I’m ticked off that one of our most prominent Orlando entertainment venues is practicing robbery with their exorbitant “booking fees.” I thought the ticket price (matinee) of $109 (yes, $109 per person!) was the total, until I clicked on “purchase” and found out that there was/is a booking fee of almost $20 per ticket! When the customer does all of the “booking” i.e., selecting seats, entering email address and printing the tickets, it’s the customer who’s doing all of the “booking,” so charging a “booking fee” is counter-intuitive, and greedy-greedy-greedy! From now on I’ll be “boycotting” not “booking” this venue! Their loss!
Two to three years ago I bought furnace filters for less than $1 and changed frequently. Now they are nearly $10! These are a cheap and flimsy product that probably costs next to nothing to manufacture. Please don’t give me a lot of excuses about inflation. It is many companies exploiting a situation. I can name numerous ones that have doubled their product prices (100%). This is another example of corporate greed.
I’m ticked off at the man who was walking a toddler in a stroller on Winter Park Street in College Park and smoking. Are you an idiot?
In Chicago, school buses managed to get our students home in the sun, rain and snow. But OCPS buses don’t drive in rain with lightning. And you can’t pick up your students unless they are walkers or car riders. On a regular basis, our middle school students don’t get home until between 5-6 p.m. Even though we live only 3.5 miles away.
The flip side
Thanks to Publix for their service, quality of food and their policy of giving an item free if it is rung up incorrectly. Thank you!
