Space Coast drivers should expect traffic issues after launch of Artemis 1
Even though Nasa's Artemis launch is expected to happen very early on Wednesday morning, officials are still asking drivers to be cautious along the coast.
Space Coast drivers should expect traffic issues after the launch of Artemis 1.
Authorities in Titusville are asking drivers to slow down on U.S. 1 and State Road 406 along the A. Max Brewer Bridge.
The city plans to shut down the A. Max Brewer Bridge immediately after lift-off. This is expected to happen for around an hour to make sure pedestrians can cross over safely.
For drivers trying to get home at that time, anyone north of Harrison Street will have to drive north along Washington Ave. Those who are south will drive southbound on Washington Avenue to Cheney Highway.
People driving on the 4-06 will be directed west.
According to the city, there is a possibility officers will decide to shut down the A. Max Brewer Bridge before the launch as well.
Titusville Police say they will post real-time traffic updates on their Twitter page.
