BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), decreased by 1.18 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, 5.53 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 7th month. Of this, 3.14 million tons were loaded and 2.38 million tons were unloaded.
In addition, 2.77 million tons of cargo were exported, and about 587,000 tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the 7th month.
Also, 82,700 tons of cargo were loaded and about 192,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit during the reporting month.
Furthermore, 225,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.5 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the 7th month.
In the 7th month, about 59,400 tons of cargo were loaded and 77,700 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 1,460 tons of cargo were loaded, and 30,300 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Some 113,000 tons of essential products, about 582,000 tons of metal products, 997,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,000 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 188,000 tons of chemicals, 4,860 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, about 34,800 tons of small and assorted products, 1.02 million tons of container products, and 2.58 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
