Every engagement ring from the ‘Bachelor,’ ‘Bachelorette,’ ‘Golden Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ ever

“The Bachelor” might be known for drama, tears and many red roses, but the franchise — which has spawned spinoffs “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor in Paradise” and “The Golden Bachelor”— has also treated fans to plenty of memorable proposals over the years.

And with every popped question comes a stunning engagement ring, most frequently made special by designer jeweler Neil Lane.

While Lane has practically become a member of the cast thanks to his frequent appearances on the franchise’s shows, it wasn’t always that way, with couples from the earlier seasons going with rings from Tacori, Chopard and even Harry Winston.

“When I’m dealing with these guys, it’s the most emotional thing in their lives,” Lane told Page Six Style in 2021 about helping would-be fiancés find the perfect ring.

“They’re the most vulnerable. And they’re looking to me for direction; most of them have never looked at rings before.”

While only a few of the shows’ couples are actually still together, we’re taking a ride back through Bachelor Nation history to look at every engagement ring that’s been given on the franchise.

Below, see all the bling that’s made it to air.

ABC’s newest twist on the franchise aired in 2023, with “The Golden Bachelor” proving to be a smash hit thanks to lead Gerry Turner, a 72-year-old widower from Indiana, and a cast of vibrant senior women. The first “Golden Bachelor” lead turned to Bachelor Nation’s fave jeweler, Neil Lane, for his proposal to widowed grandmother Theresa Nist, presenting her with a 3.15-carat princess-cut sparkler flanked by two baguette-shaped stones.

Lane told People that the ring represented “the way he [Turner] saw Theresa,” continuing that the design was “elegantly simple on top” but its complexity was only revealed when you took a closer look.

The jewelry pro continued, “when you get closer, there’s such depth. There’s such warmth. There’s so much in the ring. There’s so much in her life.”

More glittering jewelry will be coming soon enough; the “Golden” couple is set to marry in a January 4, 2024 televised wedding.

“The Bachelor”

Season 2: Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz

While the first-ever “Bachelor,” Alex Michel, decided not to get engaged at the end of the experiment, Season 2 of “The Bachelor” saw the franchise’s first-ever proposal, with Aaron Buerge popping the question to Helene Eksterowicz in the November 2002 finale.

The reality star presented her with a 2-carat diamond on a yellow gold band — which, according to People, he paid for himself.

Sadly, Buerge dumped Eksterowicz less than two months after their televised engagement. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eksterowicz auctioned off the sparkler, selling it on eBay for $28,300.

On Season 3, Andrew Firestone, heir to his family’s tire company fortune, asked Jen Schefft to marry him with a classic oval-cut diamond from Harry Winston set in white gold. Like Buerge and Eksterowicz before them, the pair split a few months later.

Season 6: Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado

Professional fisherman Byron Velvick gave his final rose — and a 3.5-carat, three-stone Tacori engagement ring— to Mary Delgado in the November 2004 finale of Season 6. The couple stayed together for five years before calling it quits for good in 2009.

Season 10: Andrew Baldwin and Tessa Horst

It was a long wait for another “Bachelor” engagement, with Seasons 7 through 9 ending without a proposal until dashing naval officer Andrew Baldwin came along and presented Tessa Horst with a simple round solitaire by Chopard. The two split after less than a year together.

Two seasons later, fans saw another proposal when Brit Matt Grant popped the question to actor Lorenzo Lamas’ daughter, Shayne Lamas. Although they broke up just a month after the show’s finale aired, the TV personality told People she still kept her 2.85-carat, three-stone Tacori diamond engagement ring “in a glass box like a glass slipper.”

Neil Lane began his reign as the go-to for “Bachelor” engagement rings when Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft with an unusual marquise-cut diamond set sideways and accented by more than 170 smaller stones.

In one of the most dramatic moments in Bachelor Nation history, Mesnick dumped Rycroft on live TV and said he still had feelings for his runner-up, Molly Malaney — and the two have been married since 2010.

Brad Womack — who famously rejected both of his potential brides on the Season 11 finale — came back for a second shot at love in 2011, presenting fan favorite Emily Maynard with a cushion-cut Neil Lane ring covered in 263 diamonds.

Sadly, the pair broke up while Season 15 was still airing, briefly reconciling but splitting for good the same year. Maynard would later return as the “Bachelorette” for her own season.

The only “Bachelor” couple that has stood the test of time is Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, who tied the knot on TV in 2014 following their engagement on Season 17.

Lowe, who was a fan favorite on Emily Maynard’s season of “The Bachelorette,” presented Giudici with a 3-carat cushion-cut Neil Lane ring featuring plenty of diamond accents. The couple, who live in Texas, are the proud parents of three kids.

“Bachelor” favorite Ben Higgins made a splash while proposing to Lauren Bushnell on the Season 20 finale, popping the question with a 4.25-carat Art Deco-style ring — the largest in Bachelor Nation history at the time.

The huge, radiant-cut diamond might have been a dazzler, but their relationship eventually lost its sparkle, and the two split after a year together (and a shared reality show of their own).

Zach Shallcross might have been torn when it came to choosing a future bride, but he didn’t have any trouble picking a dazzling Neil Lane ring for 2023’s Season 27 finale. The 3.10-carat oval-cut sparkler — which Biggar told People is “like a huge disco ball” — features a three-sided band and is accented with 150 round-cut stones. More bling is likely in the nurse’s future, as the happy couple told host Jesse Palmer that they’re planning a 2025 wedding.

“The Bachelorette”

Season 1: Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter

ABC

After coming in second place on Season 1 of “The Bachelor,” Trista Sutter was named the very first “Bachelorette.” She ended her reign on the show in 2003 with a touching proposal by firefighter Ryan Sutter, who presented her with an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring by Neil Lane featuring twisted detail on the sides.

Their relationship is the longest in “Bachelorette” history, with the couple still together many years after their televised wedding.

Season 3 of the show didn’t end with an engagement, but Season 4’s star, DeAnna Pappas, received a princess-cut Tacori engagement ring from snowboarder Jesse Csincsak in the 2008 finale.

One of the most elaborate “Bachelorette” ring designs came from the engagement of Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski in the 2009 season finale, with the brunette receiving a $60,000 pear-shaped Neil Lane sparkler surrounded by baguettes on either side and plenty of smaller diamonds underneath. Sadly, the couple later split after it was revealed that Swiderski cheated on Harris.

One of the show’s longest-lasting relationships began when J.P. Rosenbaum proposed to the Season 7 lead, Ashley Herbert, in 2011 with a stunning 4-carat, cushion-cut Neil Lane sparkler. The pair were married in a televised ceremony and had two children, staying together for nearly eight years before devastating Bachelor Nation with their split in 2020.

Season 8: Emily Maynard and Jef Holm

ABC

Emily Maynard became America’s sweetheart after her split from Brad Womack, named as the Season 8 lead and finding happiness with Jef Holm. Her 2.5-carat emerald-cut Neil Lane engagement ring was another one that ended up being returned to ABC, as the couple broke up just months later.

Season 9: Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried

ABC

The next season finally saw another happily ever after, with Chris Siegfried presenting a cushion-cut diamond set in rose gold and platinum to “Bachelorette” Desiree Hartsock. The couple married in 2015, share two sons and are still together.

Season 10: Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray

ABC; Getty Images

Andi Dorfman’s $72,000 Neil Lane ring from Josh Murray was one of the most expensive in “Bachelorette” history, featuring a three-carat, oval-shaped center stone. However, this Bachelor Nation couple never made it down the aisle.

Season 11: Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth

Disney General Entertainment Con

This 3.5-carat brilliant-cut Neil Lane diamond ring was presented to Kaitlyn Bristowe by Shawn Booth on the Season 11 finale, and while the pair remained engaged for three years, they ultimately split in 2018.

Season 19: Rachel Recchia and Tino Franco

ABC

Season 19 brought us two “Bachelorettes,” two proposals and two similar rings … although only one would last long enough for the show to air.

The first lead to receive a ring in the September 2022 finale was Rachel Recchia, who accepted a simple emerald-cut diamond on a yellow gold band from Tino Franco. The piece, which featured a hidden halo, was the first “Bachelorette” ring since Becca Kufrin’s to feature a yellow gold band.

Unfortunately, Recchia returned the diamond before the final episode even aired, following Franco’s cheating admission.

The Season 20 lead, Charity Lawson, received a stunning oval-shaped sparkler from fan-favorite Dotun Olubeko during the show’s August 2023 finale. The platinum Neil Lane style — which is surrounded by 50 round-cut diamonds — also has a special hidden meaning, which Olubeko explained to People.

The integrative medicine specialist said that Lane described the ring as “beautiful on the outside” but with a hidden halo that contains its largest stones. “Elegant and classy and beautiful on the outside as ever, but so much of the worth is on the inside,” Olubeko said, adding, “That just perfectly describes her.”

“It’s so beautiful,” the newly engaged Bachelorette told People. “I honestly think it’s perfect for me, who I am as a woman.”

“Bachelor in Paradise”

Season 1: Marcus Grodd & Lacy Faddoul

ABC

In 2014, ABC decided to invite contestants who didn’t win “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” to head to a tropical location for a new concept: “Bachelor in Paradise.” The singles are thrown onto an island with their fellow Bachelor Nation castoffs with the end goal of finding a spouse from a larger pool.

On Season 1 of the show, just one couple left engaged. Marcus Grodd proposed to Lacy Faddoul with a gorgeous princess-cut Neil Lane sparkler. The first-ever “Paradise” marriage — which was conducted on the show by then-host Chris Harrison during Season 2 — didn’t last, and actually turned out to not be legal, as it was conducted in Mexico.

Season 2: Tanner Tolbert & Jade Roper

ABC; Getty Images

One of the most enduring Bachelor Nation relationships came from Season 2 when Tanner Tolbert proposed to Jade Roper with an $88,000 two-carat ring with an unusual east-west center stone. The couple went on to marry in a televised 2016 wedding and are the parents of three children.

Season 3: Evan Bass & Carly Waddell

Another “Bachelor” marriage took place when Evan Bass and Carly Waddell sealed their unlikely romance with an equally quirky ring. Sadly, the couple split in 2020 after three years of marriage and two children.

Season 3: Grant Kemp & Lace Morris

Disney General Entertainment Con

Grant Kemp didn’t just give Lace Morris a blingy 1.5-carat Art Deco-style Neil Lane ring on the sands of Paradise — the couple also got matching “Grace” tattoos on the show. Unfortunately, they probably should have waited on the ink, as the pair parted ways two months after the finale aired and have since covered their respective tats.

Season 3: Josh Murray & Amanda Stanton

Disney General Entertainment Con

After his failed engagement to Andi Dorfman, Murray found love again in Mexico, proposing to Amanda Stanton with a 2.5-carat square-cut ring on a band with 235 tiny diamonds. While Johnny DePhillipo kept fans wondering if he was ready for marriage, the realtor proposed to Victoria Fuller on the sands of “Paradise” in the Season 8 finale. The couple confirmed their split on the live finale and Fuller revealed she was dating “Bachelorette” alum Greg Grippo — and that they got matching tattoos.

Season 9: Eliza Isichei and Aaron Bryant

ABC

Former “Bachelorette” contestant Aaron Bryant found his second shot at love with Eliza Isichei on the beaches of “Paradise,” presenting her with an emerald-cut Neil Lane ring. The sparkling style — which weighs in at over 2 carats — includes a diamond halo and a band covered in tiny stones.

“Ultimately, these two kind souls were drawn to one another and Aaron wanted to find a ring that shined as perfectly and brilliantly as Eliza does,” Lane told People. “When he saw the emerald cut diamond ring with its classic and elegant shape and all the little diamonds sparkling he just knew that was it — it was perfection.”

As of the romantic season finale, the couple is still engaged.

Season 9: John Henry Spurlock and Kat Izzo

ABC

Although he admitted that it felt “too soon” to pop the question, fan favorite John Henry Spurlock got down on one knee in the Season 9 finale to surprise Kat Izzo with a stunning 2-carat Asscher-cut ring.

The impressive center stone is surrounded by baguette-cut diamonds on either side and features an additional 26 round diamonds.

Lane told People that the ring’s design gave him a feel of “stability,” and that “while their relationship had its ups and downs, ultimately he envisioned an exciting and fulfilling life with her.”

Spurlock and Izzo are currently looking forward to planning their dream wedding.

Though a small percentage of Bachelor Nation couples make it past “I do,” there will always be more willing to accept the final rose — and the Neil Lane sparkler.
