It's official, Black Friday and I are finally breaking up. I, for one, am glad we're putting this crazy shopping holiday to bed until next year.

But just because Mashable's official Black Friday blogging is over doesn't mean the deals coverage is ending. Cyber Weekend is still in full swing, and the Mash shopping team is anticipating that Cyber Monday deals might be even better than Black Friday deals. We'll be working hard behind the scenes to bring you the best discounts through Nov. 28, so head to the Cyber Monday landing page for everything you need to know.

Black Friday deals on gas???

Ok, this isn't technically a Black Friday deal on gas, but it is a workaround if you don't want to pay for your own gas.

Lyft is offering a pretty sweet deal (read: 50% off) on Lyft Pink memberships from now through Nov. 28. Lyft Pink will get you free priority pickup upgrades, a free year of Grubhub+, 5% off Lux, Preferred, and XL rides, and more. You can currently score a one-year membership for just $49.50.

Stay hard, MF'ers

Honestly? I think there's more hype going into Cyber Monday than Black Friday this year.

Considering that most retailers' Black Friday sales started in ... uh .... the beginning of October this year, the momentum was dragged out for far too long. It's like when an artist teases a new song on TikTok for four months before actually releasing it.

From preliminary data we're getting over here at Mashable HQ, the search interest in Cyber Monday is pretty high. It seems like folks are waiting for the next shiny new event to get their shop on, considering that Black Friday has basically been going on for two months.

If you're ready for Black Friday to be over and Cyber Monday to begin, I can't blame you. For those ready to do some holiday shopping, Amazon has already dropped its Cyber Monday deals, and Walmart teased its own Cyber Monday sale yesterday, too.

12:10 pm ET | November 26, 2022
Price checking? I hardly know her.

Ever fallen victim to the ol' inflated MSRP trick? Don't worry, we've been there.

As you shop throughout Cyber Weekend, here are a few tips and tricks to make sure you're actually getting a deal (and not just being conned into buying something with an inflated MSRP).

  1. Check the direct retailer price. Amazon and Walmart love to inflate or deflate MSRPs, so head to the direct retailer to see what the retail price really is before adding to cart.

  2. Use a price checker like Honey or camelcamelcamel. These two handy tools are Mashable Shopping faves for a reason. They give you historical data on pricing, so you can find out if a product has seen a recent price drop or if it's been sitting at that price for months.

  3. Buy directly from Mashable links. If the above tips sound like too much work, fret not. We've followed these steps and ensured every product in our deals coverage is worth your money. Head over to our Black Friday and Cyber Monday posts to shop the best discounts, hassle-free.

Get in, losers. We're going shopping.

You thought the deals were done? Wrong. Cyber Weekend is just getting started, baby.

I'm Jae Thomas, Mashable Deputy Shopping Editor and final Black Friday live blogger of the year. I'll be rounding out our blog coverage with tips and tricks for getting the lowest prices, the best deals of the day, and my favorite Black Friday-themed tweets. Thanks for hanging out.

When I'm not live blogging into the void, I'm covering kitchen gadgets, fitness and outdoor gear, and pet products. And when I'm not doing all that, I'm hanging out with my dog, Miso (she'll definitely make an appearance on main before the day is over).

Ready? Set. Shop.

The sun is setting (rising?) on my Saturday morning shift, and deputy editor Jae Thomas is waiting in the wings to bring you even more actually-worth-buying deals across major retailers as Cyber Weekend progresses. In the great tradition of my fore-bloggers, I am going to go take a nap. Godspeed.

🗣️ The cat game is on sale
Via Giphy

A 2022 Game of the Year contender, Stray is a gorgeous, neon-lit adventure in a dystopian world that doesn't just let you play as a cat (though that should be a selling point in itself): It "fully [grasps] what it is that makes these enigmatic creatures so beloved as pets and internet icons," writes Mashable tech and gaming reporter Alex Perry. It's easily one of the best PlayStation exclusives of the year, IMO — and I say that as a lifelong Dog Person™️.

Best Buy and Amazon both have PS5 copies on sale for $29.99, which makes it $10 cheaper than the PS4 version. (Looks like Steam has a similar discount for the PC crew, FYI.)

It's giving Prime Day

If you forgot to stock up on paper towels, lightbulbs, K-Cups, and dog poop bags while you were locking in a new MacBook or QLED TV, fire up the ol' Prime account: Amazon is running a limited-time Stock Up & Save promotion where Prime members can take 25% off any household essentials order of $50 or more. Simply visit this event page, add any featured items to your cart, and then hit "Go to Cart" for instant savings.

I am sorry.

It brings me no pleasure to be one of the first people to remind you that t*x season is almost here. Prepare accordingly by grabbing a digital download of TurboTax Deluxe + State 2022, a tax software program that pores through over 350 deductions and credits (with special guidance for homeowners and an upgraded W-2 importing tool) in its quest for your maximum refund.

Buy it on Amazon at some point before the end of the day today and you'll snag a free $10 gift card and a year's worth of Quicken Starter Edition on top of a 42% discount. We really do live in a society.

A hot new bombshell (Dell) has entered the villa

No one's been abiding by the basic rules of the Gregorian calendar this holiday shopping season. Best Buy and Target started rolling out Black Friday deals in October. Walmart's Black Friday deals arrived in staggered groups on Mondays in November. Amazon's Black Friday sale kicked off on Thursday. And just this morning, Dell decided to roll out additional offers for its ongoing Black Friday sale. Sure!

Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?
Via Giphy

... If so, don't miss some scrumptious new Cyber Weekend deals on fancy cookware.

After putting Le Creuset Dutch ovens and bakeware on sale earlier this week, Amazon is now offering discounts on select pieces from Staub (another heirloom-worthy French brand) and Caraway (as seen in Emily Mariko's TikToks and this 4.5/5-star Mashable review).

Note that more Staub pieces are available at extra-deep discounts on the U.S. Zwilling website if you're willing to put up with unspecified "visual imperfections." Those are dicier purchases with an asterisk of no warranty coverage (according to someone on Reddit), but the steep savings might be well worth it for some shoppers. I am personally frothing over a $99 cocotte that only just went out of stock.

Speaking of Xboxes...

Credit: Xbox / Mashable composite

You can score an Xbox Series S for just $239.99 if you order it through Walmart or the Microsoft Store. That's the best non-gift card deal I've ever seen on Microsoft's entry-level console (normally sold for $299.99), which has been hovering around the $250 mark elsewhere for the past few days.

It looks like this $240 pricing was previously exclusive to Sam's Club and Costco, so I'd be willing to venture that this is one of the first times it's popped up online. (I will still be holding out for the Series X because of its disc drive and doubled storage capacity, FWIW, but this is an extremely tempting deal for anyone in need of a next-gen upgrade.)

Some fine print: The version on sale at Walmart is the Xbox Series S Holiday Console, which is literally just a regular Series S in vaguely festive packaging. I don't know why they do that.

I gotta focus. I'm shifting into Cyber Monday mode.

Good morning, early birds, and welcome to the liminal space between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'm shopping reporter Haley Henschel, and I'll be your ferryman through to the other side with expert guidance on all the new and lingering deals that are worth grabbing.

No complaints if the latter are abundant, by the way. While it's still too early to do an official Black Friday postmortem, I will say that the vast selection of deals we saw yesterday somehow managed to live up to the hype of many major retailers' monthlong preview sales. I personally shopped IRL for the first time in literal years because of a rare 20% discount on Xbox gift cards at Dollar General stores, which I plan on putting towards an Xbox Series X before it gets more expensive. (It's my way of coping with the fact that I missed out on that weird Microsoft Store Instagram Shop promotion earlier this week.) If you saw me shlepping around southeastern Wisconsin with armfuls of those little green guys at any point within the past 24 hours, no you didn't. ❤️

Anyway, let's get this party started.

It's only human to complain about the paranoia of being watched on the internet, just to follow up and not do anything about that paranoia. (Incognito mode isn't always enough, I'm told.) The following Black Friday deals on VPNs leave you with no excuses to not protect your data online — plus, your streaming apps and video games should load faster, too. It'll probably cost less than $75 for the year.

Advent calendars were obviously a thing before 2022, but given the sheer number of them that are on sale for Black Friday this year, they seem to be the thing to gift nowadays. (Non-chocolate options, especially. We're partial to the LEGO ones.)

#PlantTok, these deals are for you

As if plant parents need any convincing to drop coin on yet another potted baby, some of our favorite online plant retailers have a ton of options on sale. If not for you, they'd make a great gift idea for your friend who insists that they want to get into plants, but hasn't graduated past that one dead cactus from a farmer's market last summer.

  • The Sill — save up to 45% on best-sellers like a string of hearts, desert fern, or monstera, as well as bundles like a pet-friendly mix or a pack of succulents

  • Bloomscape — with code THANKYOU, save 25% on select plants including the bamboo palm, bird of paradise, and silver pothos, as well as bundles like options specifically for low light

  • Rooted — save up to 25% on popular houseplants like ginseng and the white arrowhead plant, select rare picks like a string of turtles or jewel orchid, plus accessories like planters

And if you can't be trusted to keep even a snake plant alive, Target's Black Friday sale on LEGOS can score you the just-as-adorable succulent set or orchid set for up to 20% off.

Happy Black Friday At Night, y'all. The title of this shopping holiday is the only reason I know what day of the week it is.

I would go on to comment on how the biggest money-spending day of the year is winding down, but considering that Black Friday deals began dropping weeks ago and will stick around through the next week, we all know "winding down" isn't on the docket. I'm here to provide some deals guidance as we head into Cyber Weekend, pointing you to new deals that may have popped up since the last time you did a scan.

When I'm not watching price drops like a hawk, I'm covering fancy vacuums and eco-friendly items, and forcing my cat Sansa to help me review some pet stuff. And apparently, I introduce my cat before I introduce myself. Hi, I'm Leah, shopping reporter at Mashable. Let's buy something.

A digital photo frame is one of the best gifts for family members, especially those who live far away or whom you don't get to see as often as you'd like. They're particularly perfect for grandparents who can't seem to ever get enough photos of their adorable grandchild. (Who can blame them, really?)

For Black Friday, Aura has a bunch of different digital frames on sale, including options that allow you to upload photos via app from literally anywhere. Here are our top picks:

Get up to 50% off pickleball stuff
Via Giphy

While we're on the subject of sports, let's take a moment and dive into one of the biggest (and trendiest) hobbies as of late: Pickleball.

My daughter's favorite playground is right by a park that has oodles of pickeball courts and let me tell you, they are never empty — not even when the temperatures drop. So I was not surprised to learn that searches for pickleball increased by 500% this year (according to Google.)

There are some pretty decent deals to be had too — check out some picks below:

The best Apple deals
Via Giphy

(Actual footage of me working on Black Friday.)

I live in a house divided. My husband is team Android, I'm team Apple. We make it work.

Every year that I've covered Black Friday (and this is number six) we see the same thing pop up around this time: People want Apple gear on sale, and they want it now. But it's damn near impossible to find actual sales on the Apple site (though this gift card deal will get you close) so we have to look elsewhere.

Lucky for you, there's a lot to choose from.

Here are our favorite Apple deals for Black Friday:

  • BEST MACBOOK DEAL: The MacBook Air (M2, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) updates Apple's most portable laptop in almost every way, and it's back down to its lowest price ever — $1,049 $1,199 at Amazon and Best Buy (save $150) 🔥

  • BEST IPAD DEAL: The 2021 iPad Mini (WiFi, 64GB) brings portability and power in one small package — $399.99 $499 at Amazon (save $99.01)

  • BEST APPLE WATCH DEAL: The Apple Watch Series 7 (45mm, GPS) has an ECG sensor, a blood oxygen sensor, and 45mm of an always-on display— $309.99 $379 at Target (save $119.01)

  • BEST AIRPODS DEAL: The AirPods Pro (first gen) with ANC lets you give the gift of peace and quiet at a reasonable price this holiday season — $159 $249 at Walmart (save $90) 🔥

  • BEST ACCESSORY DEAL: The Beats Studio Buds offer a worthy alternative to the AirPods Pro, and they're back at their Prime Day 2 price — $99.95 $149.95 at Amazon (save $50)

List compiled by Shopping Reporters Bethany Allard and Haley Henshel.

A pizza oven will be this year's hottest gift
pizza oven
Credit: Ooni

Last year for Christmas I gifted my brother and his wife a vegan-cheese-of-the-month club. Not a great gift for everyone, but the PERFECT gift for them. They've loved it, but because of the high volume of cheese they've had to put a lot in the freezer. And now it's like, what do you do with all that cheese?

Enter: The pizza oven.

The backyard pizza oven is on the rise — up 80% in search this year according to Google — and for good reason. It's cool, it produces crispy pizza that's more difficult to achieve in a standard oven, and it allows you to take part in one of the most basic human joys: gathering outside around a heat source.

Our product testers took a hands-on look at four of the most popular pizza ovens and ever since, I've been coveting the Ooni Fyra 12 wood pellet version. At the time of this writing, there's this bundle on sale for $50 off (which is basically just like getting the peel for free), but I'll be watching this all day in the hopes it drops lower.

In the meantime, here are some great alternatives:

Hey everyone! Stepping back into the Black Friday saddle to bring you more great deals and — let's be honest — let you tag along as I take advantage of these sales and complete my own holiday shopping. Just a quick snapshot of things I'm hoping to see drop even lower today: A quality pizza oven for my brother, some cool RV gear for my parents (like maybe this portable fire pit), some self care items for friends, and toys galore for the kiddo. Alright, here we go!

Would you look at that... you can actually get a Switch this year.
Nintendo Switch OLED
Credit: Nintendo

What's that? A Black Friday where not every single Nintendo Switch on the planet is either sold out or tied up in supply chain issues? Wow, good things can happen 🥲.

While you can pretty much abandon hope for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X (unless a kind retailer would like to restock them *wink wink*), the Nintendo Switch OLED is available almost everywhere as of right now — GameStop, Amazon, Nintendo, Walmart and Target, all have some up for grabs.

The Switch OLED is the best iteration of the handheld console yet, and a great get if you skipped out on the original version and Nintendo Switch Lite (or if you already have them all and just want to stay on the cutting edge). It's more powerful, features more storage, and even packs in enhanced audio, but the real draw is that new, crystal-clear seven-inch OLED screen. We love it.

Oh, also, the Xbox Series S is in stock (and on sale for $50 off!) at GameStop as we speak. Get 'em while they're hot!

Well, that's it from me today, everyone. It's been a pleasure to serve you this Black Friday — I hope you all were able to buy yourself (or someone else) something nice. I now hand the blogging duties off to Executive Shopping Editor Nicole Cammorata, who's sure to have even more great deals and discounts to share with you throughout the rest of the day.

It's been real. Bye for now! ✌️

The Dwight Schrute special may not be everyone's cup of tea when it comes to rest and relaxation. So, we'll do you one better: A massage gun. You've seen them all over, but maybe you've held off on picking one up (they are pretty pricey).

Until now, that is, because the Black Friday discounts are truly out of this world. These are our favorite massage gun deals so far, including a sitewide sale from Therabody.

Now, get to pounding out those knots.

Here's one for the pups

And now for a deal that made my dog, Stevie, say "yeehaw!"

If you have a pup that is in need of a daily distraction (one that isn't an annoying squeaky toy), you need to try out a dog puzzle. My pooch loves them, and I have a feeling yours will, too.

This brick puzzle from Outward Hound is one of Stevie's favorites, and it's over $15 off at Amazon during Black Friday. All that's required of you is to hide treats in the puzzle's various compartments, and then watch the cuteness that ensues. Your dog should stay occupied for quite a while as they use their nose and tongue to flip open and slide the bricks around to find their prize(s), and as you get some peace and quiet from your furry friend. Pet parents need a break, too!

The almighty gift card, everyone's favorite stocking stuffer

You can't buy everyone a nice, expensive gift for the holidays. Sometimes, you need to opt for the (also nice) gift card option. Pick a few up at Amazon, send them out to your loved ones, and get some sweet Amazon credit in the process.

  • Apple — buy $100 or more, get $15 Amazon credit with code APPLEDIGITAL

  • Fandango — buy $50 or more, get $10.50 in Amazon credit with code FAN22

  • Regal — buy $50 or more, get $10 Amazon credit with code REGAL22

  • Uber — buy $50 or more, get $10.50 Amazon credit with code UBER22

  • Grubhub — buy $50 or more, get $11 Amazon credit with code GRUBHUB

It's a bird! It's a plane! Wait...

It's a drone, actually. Way cooler than a bird or plane, especially when it looks like this:

Via Giphy

Unfortunately, the DJI Mavic Mini does not look like a flying cat, but it is on sale for about $200 off the usual price, which isn't a bad trade at all.

The Mavic Mini is about as light as your average smartphone, and folds up really small so you can take it along with you wherever you go. And because of its light frame, you can get around 30 minutes of flight time on a full charge. Its motorized gimbal camera can also capture video in 7K, so your next vacation vlog is about to look sick.

Did we mention it's a bundle deal? Here's what's inside:

  • The DJI Mavic Mini drone

  • A remote controller

  • Three pairs of spare propellers

  • A pair of extra control sticks

  • All the required tools and cables for regular operation

  • A very nice carrying case

Go ahead! Pick one up and start harassing the entire neighborhood with your new flying companion. (Just kidding, be respectful of everyone's space, please 😊.)

Time to close some deals
Dylan Haas inspirational quote
Credit: Dylan Haas / Mashable Photo Composite

It's impossible not to look like you're handling important business when you're wearing a slick pair of earbuds and taking a phone call. I promise you, pop in a pair of AirPods and start talking while you walk down the street, and everyone who passes you will be thinking "wow, they're closing deals right now. Better leave them alone. That looks like really important business." In reality, you're just making a dentist appointment, but they don't have to know that.

If you want to join the elite club of deal closers, you'll need some earbuds of your own — these are the best ones on sale right now:

Anybody awake? Anyone? Just me?

OK, that's kind of what I expected at 6 a.m. on the morning after many of us stuffed our faces into oblivion. I personally am already fantasizing about the leftovers I will be having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner today. But until then — until y'all wake up and are ready to shop — I'll be blogging into the void.

I'm Dylan, by the way, Lead Shopping Reporter and extremely normal person here at Mashable. You'll usually find me covering video games and pet tech, but I also occasionally dip my toes into fitness products and mattresses. Today, everything is fair game, though. For the next five hours, I'll be sharing all the best deals I can find with you and helping to make sure that your Black Friday goes off without a hitch. I will also be looking for deals for myself, because I just had multiple family members send me their Christmas lists yesterday. Fun!

So, let's get the Black Friday party started, shall we?

We’re nearly at the end of day one — there’s been some highs (pretty much all of the incredible deals) and lows (see the last blog update) today, but we still have a long weekend ahead of us.

If you’re pacing yourself, I respect the strategy, but that doesn’t mean you have to end the day empty handed. We’ve rounded up 10 of the best deals under $100 for our final post of the day. Without further ado:

My colleague and Lead Shopping Reporter Dylan Haas will be back here, blogging bright and early at 6 a.m. ET tomorrow morning to finally ring in the official start of Black Friday.

It’s been an honor, everyone.🫡 Happy Thanksgiving!

PLEASE MR. DYSON

We are nearly three hours in to my live blog shift, and the Dyson V12 has not dipped any lower in price. Maybe wishing for things to be any different is naive of me, maybe watching for an additional price drop is a fool's errand, yet I can't help myself. If James Dyson or any big box retailers are reading this — please make one shopping reporter's dreams come true.

slack conversation screenshot

In the meantime, there are plenty of other impressive Dyson vacuum deals for everyone to enjoy (including one on the V12, which is admittedly at a pretty great price already).

And let's not forget the other Dyson deals out there:

For anyone punching the air because there's no Airwrap on this list, we might be able to offer a small consolation — it is 20% off for previous Dyson customers who've registered their product to the Dyson website. If that's you, and you're in need of Airwrap, check your email inbox for the discount code.

Trade offer: You receive the first ever discounted price on the Apple Watch Ultra

I receive: the gratification of saving you money on Apple's most feature heavy smart watch.

The Apple Watch Ultra is not just a little step up from the Series 8, which is why it usually retails for a staggering $799 — but thanks to Black Friday, it's finally marked down to $739. It is as intense a wearable as the name suggests, making it the perfect gift for any extreme athletes or adventurers in your life (including yourself). A few of its more notable features:

  • 36 hours of battery life

  • A 49mm watch face packaged in a titanium case

  • Advanced fitness metrics in the Workout app

  • Built in cellular capabilities

This probably isn't the wearable to get for any relatives interested in just tracking their steps on a day to day basis (for those giftees, check out the sales on the Apple Watch Series 8 and SE). But for hardcore fitness fanatics and those who regularly find themselves deep in the great outdoors, this deal is the best we've seen so far on the Ultra.

Black Friday Bethany has arrived

Hello to the shopping hotties, haters, and nerds out there. I'm Bethany, the very cool, very mysterious girl from the picture above, and one of the several courageous Mashable shopping staffers guiding you through these chaotic few days. Usually, I write about Apple products, dating sites, and sex toys (all of life's essentials tbh), but today I'll be sharing all the deals on anything with a nicely discounted price that's worth your attention. As for my own personal investments this shopping holiday, I've been eyeing this Dyson laser vacuum, but whether or not I actually buy is between me, my bank account, and God. (If its price drops any lower during my shift, you will be aware).

Anyway, I'll be with you for the next four hours, so let's get shopping friends!

Tons of Le Creuset items are on sale

I am forever and always team sides when it comes to Thanksgiving food. Stuffing? Yes. Mashed potatoes? Always. Cranberry sauce? Give it to me.

As a person who likes to cook, I'm obsessed with Le Creuset but don't love how darn expensive they are. The one I have (the classic Dutch oven) was a gift and I'm super grateful for it. It's great for braising a roast on the stove top and then putting the whole thing right into the oven, though truth be told I use it most often for soups and chili. If you're looking to stock up (soup pun!) for yourself or snag some super impressive gifts, then this sale is not to be missed. Here are some of my top picks:

When is Black Friday?

While Black Friday proper falls on Nov. 25 in 2022, most stores began rolling out their holiday doorbusters in October and early November. It's no longer just one day — it's a whole season of sales.

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is a shopping holiday that takes place every year on the day right after Thanksgiving. It used to be synonymous with viral fistfights and stampedes and lines that stretched around city blocks before 3 a.m., but in recent years has become more of an online event.
