The centre's push for increasing ethanol production in the country is gaining momentum...Dept of Food and Public Distribution has given In-Principle approval for 95 more ethanol projects under the new window of Ethanol Interest Subvention Schemes. Ethanol Interest Subvention Scheme was notified on 22nd April 2022.The Scheme is expected to add annual ethanol production capacity of around 480 crore liters to the countryOut of the recently approved 95 projects, 68 projects are grain based, 20 projects are molasses based, and 7 projects are based on dual feed stockGovt estimates that these projects have potential to bring investment of about Rs.12,000 crores.Govt is confident that the proposed Investment will also create hundreds of jobs, majorly in rural areas.The Scheme has approved and given in principal approval to 243 ethanol projects, since 22nd April 2022.#ethanol #ethanolstocks #sharemarket
