SUMMERFEST

Imagine Dragons and AJR will headline the final night of Summerfest 2023 in Milwaukee

For the final night of its 55th year, Summerfest is opting for not one but two major headliners.

Imagine Dragons will return to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on July 8, after playing a sold-out Fiserv Forum concert in February of this year. The band previously headlined Summerfest's amphitheater in 2018, and, in 2013, made festival history when its performance at the Miller Lite Oasis drew such a massive crowd, about 5,000 to 7,000 people were let in for free to reduce the crowd congestion at the gates.

Joining them are pop band of brothers AJR, who were big enough to headline the amphitheater themselves this past summer with a highly imaginative show.

As of now, this might be a custom show for Summerfest. Neither band announced new tour news Monday morning.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the box office (200 N. Harbor Drive) and through Ticketmaster and Summerfest's website. Prices have yet to be announced, but tickets will include Summerfest general admission for July 8.

This is the second Summerfest amphitheater announcement for 2023, following news that fest favorite Zac Brown Band will return to headline the amphitheater June 23.

The festival takes place at Maier Festival Park June 22 to 24, June 29 to July 1 and July 6 to 8.
